Recycling at Kart-a-way
Kart A Way Waste Management has two recycling centres in Essex, Essex Regiment Way, Chelmsford and Generals Lane, Boreham, which is just off junction 19 of the A12.
At Essex Regiment Way in Chelmsford we operate a licensed waste transfer station, where we use a combination of mechanical and hand picking to recycle up to 75% of the waste that we collect. This has been achieved through the use of our recently installed custom built recycling plant which is fully housed within a large new building based on the outskirts of Chelmsford.
We have always extracted numerous materials from the waste we receive so that they can be recycled - these include hardcore, metal, wood, hard plastics, cardboard and glass. The new waste transfer station not only increases the amount of these products which we can extract but it also allows us to extract different plastics, paper and other packaging materials.
Our position locally as the hub for many other companies to have their waste recycled using our scaled up methods has resulted in us forming an extensive set of contacts within the waste industry. This means that we are able to offer our customers discounted rates for dealing with virtually any type of hazardous waste via our specialist accredited partners.
Our second site at Generals Lane Boreham is conveniently located close to the A12, here we have a recycling operation through which we process construction and demolition waste and produce recycled secondary aggregates for re use in construction.
